Nothin’ but the Truth.

The Rock and Roll HOF recently inducted their class of 2008 and one of the many artists inducted was Madonna. Here’s the deal: I don’t care for the woman who is a piece of hypocritical garbage and I find humor out of the fact that she is inducted into the Rock and Roll HOF. At first, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal that she was being inducted. Now that I think of it and after speaking to my mother, I can see why she doesn’t belong in there.

            Let’s talk about this: Madonna doesn’t play an instrument (ok, maybe she plays the guitar on occasion but she is not a guitar player). Most of what I know about Rock and Roll revolves around the fact that the artist knows how to play and instrument or they have people around them playing ROCK music. Sure, she is an icon. I understand the fact that she is so “cutting edge” and all that crap but can you seriously say that she belongs in the Rock and Roll HOF? No, you can’t. She is not worthy to be in the museum. Does she deserve to be in the museum because she slept with Dennis Rodman or because she kissed Britney? I think if someone is inducted into the Rock and Roll HOF she should earn it. I don’t think Madonna deserves to be in the museum. If there was such a thing as the “Pop Music HOF” then yes, Madonna should be there.     

        Another problem I have with Madonna’s induction is who inducted her— JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. Are you kidding me? I think Justin is more worthy to be in the R&R HOF more than Madge. He at least composes music. However, let us not forget his boy band days back in the good ‘ol days of *Nsync. This equation doesn’t add up. Justin Timberlake shouldn’t be inducting Madonna because neither one belongs anywhere near the Rock and Rock Museum. Madonna is famous for prancing around in a wedding dress on the VMA stage groping herself and Justin Timberlake exposed Janet’s boob to the Super Bowl audience. They both seem like something a rocker would do but nope, they both are too lame to be there.     

        Madonna and Justin are apparently BFFs now that he worked on her upcoming album. I don’t see why Justin on the album is going to create a smash album because he was just on 50 Cent’s recent single and that song certainly didn’t do as well as anticipated. I don’t think Madonna has had a solid hit since the late 80s. I love how VH1 obsesses when Madonna has anything new coming out. Her album a couple years ago wasn’t that good. I thought it was funny that this revolutionary woman had to sample Abba for one of her singles. How revolutionary is that?        

      I think that after watching the induction ceremony and the lovely speech Justin gave before introducing Madonna was a bit humorous however, he solidified my point as to why Madonna doesn’t belong in the museum. He simply said that there have been many people who have tried to recreate Madonna’s success and that he dated one of them. Now, we all know that was a jab at Britney. Funny as it may be, it just shows that someone who influenced Britney Spears doesn’t belong in the Rock and Roll HOF. 

            Madonna, you do not belong in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME.
